Yesterday a 11-7 vote for law enforcement on gun control was made by the Senate Judiciary Committee. As a response to the Hadiya Pendleton (Chicago) and Nyasia Pryear-Yard (New York) cases they decided that drastic measures had to be taken. This bill would officially make it a felony to purchase a firearm from a license/ private dealer for another person who doesn’t have the license to do so themselves. Could this bill make a difference in Chicago? What do you think?
