Usher and Foster's divorce was finalized in 2009 after two years of marriage, but the former couple's battle over custody and child support of their two sons, Usher Raymond V, 4, and Naviyd, 3, has continued to wage on. According to TMZ, Usher had spoken with Foster over the weekend, offering a slight increase in child support but refusing to budge on his 50/50 custody demand.

Now, the R&B singer has apparently changed his tune. TMZ reports that Usher met with his lawyers earlier this week to draft a new proposal, which would give Foster "a majority" of custody and a "significant" increase in child support. The offer has not yet been presented to Foster.

Usher is said to be aware of Foster's suffering and does not believe it is a good idea to continue to fight given the tragic circumstances.

The news comes just one month after Usher's seventh studio album, Looking 4 Myself, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
