Sad News in the barbs world. This week, Terrence Davidson, who is the creative director of Nicki Minaj’s infamous hair styles announced that he and Nicki Minaj’s hair have went their separate ways after a few creative differences.
Since Nicki Minaj’s hair, business ventures and exciting outfit choices go hand in hand with her music and brand, I am sure this really effects Nicki Minaj. Right in the middle of American Idol? If there is one thing she didn’t need it definitely is THIS!
Her hairstylist wrote in a statement:
“I would like to inform the media and supporters that I’ve decided to step away as hair stylist and wig creator for Nicki Minaj. It has been an amazing experience offering me a chance to express my creativity and exhibit my love for the art form of wig design. I have decided to part ways from Nicki Minaj because I would like to explore other opportunities within my own brand and re-energize my creativity through work in fashion editorial, beauty consultations, media personality, ‘how-to’ lectures and hair show development. I am very proud of the body of work built with Nicki Minaj and I appreciate the support over the years from fans who’ve expressed love for my craft. Look forward to seeing me larger than life in 2013”
I am sure this is not the end for Nicki Minaj’s hair journey! If there is one thing there is no shortage if, it is hair stylists. It’s just finding THAT one that can wham it the way she needs. But as we all need, progression, good luck to Terrence and Nicki’s search for the right stylist. Hmmmm I smell a reality show! (Give me a credit lol)
