Who is Demi Lobo??- Demi Lobo is an American Singer/Songwriter and Radio Personality born in California raised in Chicago. Demi Lobo is currently a Senior Radio Major attending Columbia College in Downtown Chicago. You can hear Demi Lobo on The #1 Station for Hip-Hop & RnB- WGCI, in Chicago every weekend. Demi Lobo the young creative girl has served in the arts for many years. Starting as a singer in church, she then began writing poetry, which led to recording music at the age of 16. With a love for acting, Demi has always been a personality. 6 stage plays, and 2 commercials under her belt, at the age of 8 Demi Lobo won "Best Actress" in a Miss America Pageant.
Demi has always been a positive influence to the youth and her peers. In high school and college she spoke to her peers on the importance of having a plan in life, getting and keeping a job, planning for the future. Demi has spoke to thousands of youth all over Illinois and in the Chicago Public Schools.
Taking a break from music and concentrating on being the captain of the basketball team in high shcool was the focus. Once she hit College at Eastern Illinois University in Charlseton, IL - that all changed. She was added as a co-host on the school's 5am Morning Radio Show 'Wake Up Live' on WEIU. As well her own show every Friday on the station. As a Sophomore at Eastern Illinois University, Demi decided to transfer to her home city Chicago, also the third largest radio market - and take radio and music more seriously.
Never missing a beat, Demi hopped right on Columbia College's award winning school radio station- WCRX with a show every week. One semester later Demi went after her year long dream of becoming an Intern at WGCI. Long hours and taking the job with pride a year later Demi can be heard every weekend on WGCI.

The 2013 Academy Awards Nominations are officially ON!
D'jango was a hands down amazing movie that racked up HUGE. No individual nods for Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington or Sam Jackson. Who I feel did simply amazing jobs and definitely deserved a nod.
Django is up for Best Original Screenplay, Best Motion Picture of the Year, Achievement in cinematography, and Achievement in sound editing. Christoph Waltz, who played Dr. Schultz, landed a nomination for Best Performance by an actor in a supporting role.
Denel Washington on the other hand landed a nomination in one of the biggest categories for his role in Flight: Performance by an actor in a leading role.
T the youngest nominee in Oscar History was just 9 years old. She's Houma, Louisiana native Quvenzhané Wallis!
For her movie Beasts of the Southern Wild, she landed a nomination in the biggest category. She's up for Best Performance by an actress in a leading role (Best Actress)
The movie itself has 3 nods: Achievement in directing, Best Motion Picture of the Year and Best Adapted Screenplay.
