"RHOA" star Cynthia Bailey Thomas and her husband Peter Thomas have written a new book on how they made their relationship work. Find out more inside....
After a rocky engagement (were we the only ones who didn't think they would make it to the alta with all that drama?) and two dramatic weddings, both filmed for the hit Bravo reality series "RHOA", Cynthia Bailey Thomas and Peter Thomas have penned Carry-on Baggage - Our Nonstop Flight. It's a straight talk couple's memoir following their journey of raising a blended family, running a mini empire and keeping the home fires burning after ago 40.
Distributed by Griffin Scott Press, LLC, a press release from the couple revealed that they wrote the book "to inspire, provoke and make readers laugh out loud" as they look at their "nonstop flight to finding marital bliss." And it hits shelves July 2013.
And in addition to bookstores, Cynthia's also headed to the dollhouse. She's partnered with The One Doll Project to create a "collector's item" in her image. The ESSENCE cover model released a statement saying,
"I'm elated at the opportunity to work with (doll designer) Stacey McBride-Irby and design a doll that will expand my message and the overall mission of The Bailey Agency School of Fashion to be confident, to feel empowered and to always be inspired.
As young girls, we looked at dolls as a representation of beauty. I hope looking at this doll will display not only physical beauty, but will also represent the beauty of being confidently and unapologetically who you are."
Congrats to the couple! We just wonder how long it will take Kenya Moore to snatch up Cynthia's idea and release her own line of "Detroit Barbies". Y'all know it's coming....

The personal bodyguard for 2 Chainzis speaking out about last weekend’s incident when some dudes with guns accosted the rapper and his crew.
Friday morning, Harold “Hammer Strength” Folsom spoke with Power 107.5 radio in Columbus, OH. He told the station the aggregation had just flown into San Fran and were making a quick downtown stop when 3 men pulled out big ol’ .357 Magnums.
“(2 Chainz) took off running first. When he took off running … then WE took off running,” Folsom said.
Folsom says he heard the gunman yell at the rapper, “2 Chainz … give it up.”
Folsom thought the whole situation was bizarre was a bit strange ’cause the bad guys took 2 Chainz’ wallet and cell phone but not his jewelry.
He also doesn’t believe the robbers intended to hurt anyone because if they wanted to shoot 2 Chainz, they definitely had the opportunity.
Further, Folsom says he’s convinced it was a setup, but he doesn’t explain why.
According to TMZ, Kimmie Kakes gave birth to a baby girl.
Last night, Kanye was a no-show at his LA Yeezus listening event at Milk Studios (attended by the likes of Justin Bieber and Tyga) and now we know why! Kim Kardashian went in labor!
Congrats are in order for the happy couple who welcomed a baby girl this morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center! According to TMZ, the baby arrived a month ahead of her scheduled due date but appears to be in good health.
It’s been a busy week for Kanye, who has had to spend time away from Kim while hosting multiple listening sessions in New York and Switzerland. His album also leaked yesterday so he was able to get a bit of good news among the bad. Fate also allowed him to be in LA for the birth of his child.
Sources close to Kim K told the celebrity site the baby and Kim are both in good health.
However, if you’ve been keeping track the birth has happened one month earlier expected.
Our sources say BF Kanye West was there for the entire thing — in the delivery room by Kim’s side. We’re told Kanye cancelled his appearance at his own record release party last night when Kim told him she was feeling “a little off.”
The newborn is the first child for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
The invitation-only event will be held on Thursday, June 27th, 2013 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California.
The ASCAP Vanguard Award acknowledges the musical genres that help shape the future of American music.
Past ASCAP Vanguard Award honorees include Beastie Boys, Taio Cruz, Diplo, Janelle Monáe and Santigold.
ASCAP President and Chairman Paul Williams commented: “Kendrick Lamar’s smart, structured story-telling and genre-bending sound make him stand out amongst his peers. He pushes boundaries with his creativity, perfectly illustrating everything that the ASCAP Vanguard Award recognizes.”
ASCAP VP of Rhythm & Soul Membership Nicole George-Middleton commented: “Kendrick is one of the most exciting acts in the rap game today, and we know big things are in store for his career. It’s no wonder that he’s been dubbed ‘the new king of the West Coast’ by rap veterans like Snoop Dogg.”
Earlier this year, Lamar topped MTV’s annual Hottest MCs in the Game list, beating out industry heavyweights like Nas and Kanye West.
Back in 2007 Rocawear's license was purchased or $204 million by the Iconix Group. Shortly thereafter, business bombed. The urban line once racked up $700 million in annual sales. But like the Dow on Wall Street, Rocawear’s appeal eventually diminished among young consumers, and so did revenue sales.
The company has hit a financial bottom, a new lawsuit claims. A New York City wholesaler is battling Jay-Z’s clothing label over a six-figure debt.
iSource NYC filed suit against Rocawear to recover $450,000 leftover from a $1 million order. Court papers state that iSource manufactured “specially ordered goods [with] the ‘Rocawear’ brand name imprinted on [them],” and shipped them from Pakistan to the Big Apple in April 2012.
The order was fulfilled, but as of last summer the payments dried up. iSource is suing for the outstanding balance plus 9 percent interest.
Rocawear’s struggles have been ongoing as of late — from being exposed for using dog fur to a $500 million sales dip and slicing its staff in half.
Even with contracting Ciara as a spokesmodel, a partnership with Pharrell Williams‘ Billionaire Boys Club and a deal to sell clothing out of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, the company still hasn’t been able to climb out of debt.
I wonder what JJ Cool Jshared some words of wisdom to young artists like Justin Bieber. In an interview with Hollywood Life, he said, "Sometimes you just gotta take a step back and remember why you got into it, and not get caught up in [the nonsense.] If you're cool, you don't have to try to be cool; it's just cool. So you don't have to overdo it to seem like making it more than it is, you know, but that's just little kid stuff." He added, "People make mistakes. I mean, I did a lot of crazy stuff when I was 17, 18, 19. We just didn't have Twitter and TMZ and all that crazy stuff. They weren't chasing us around, so, they'll get over it; they'll mature out of it."
Lil Wayne's daughter Reginae used to be apart of girk group OMG Girlz. She now has gotten signed to Young Money, and has her own duo group called 'Nae and Lo." For Father's day they released a tribute called "Daddy's Little Girl"
