Disney rabbit racist?

Apparently, in San Diego an African American family left very upset and decided to sue Disneyland. The parents say that their son attempted to hug the White Rabbit from the 'Alice and Wonderland' movie but was rejected. In addition to that the family claims the White Rabbit embraced a white family just a few moments after their son was pushed away from the same character. Well a law suit was put into place because the parents felt their son was treated unfairly because of something he couldn't control, his skin color. Is this a waste of something to sue over or is this a stand up for what you believe in moment?
