Chicago rapper Chief Keef was sentenced Tuesday to 60 days in juvenile detention for violating his probation on a gun conviction.
Chief Keef, real name Keith Cozart, was taken into custody on Tuesday after Judge Carl Anthony Walker discovered he'd violated his probation by having direct contact with firearms.
Cozart signed a record deal with Interscope last year and released his debut album “Finally Rich” in December.
Cozart, 17, was on probation for pointing a gun at Chicago Police officers.
The rapper pleaded with Judge Carl Anthony Walker not to sentence him to juvenile detention, breaking down into tears several times, but the judge said he could not tolerate the teen’s “ blatant violations of the court’s order.”
