Hometurf Artist of The Month - Amiir Perry

Sick of complacency, Amiir Perry is chasing his dreams and holding it down for his team. Driven by the thrill of performing and sharing his voice, Amiir is ready to represent Chicago and take the world by storm. Born on the South Side of Chicago, Amiir’s initial musical inspiration came from his mother, who was a respected musician in her lifetime. Perry’s sound and style draws a distinct parallel between the melting pot of genres played in his household as a child and his own developing personal tastes in song. His varied and eclectic influences range from Stevie Wonder to Bone Thugs & Harmony and Lil Wayne to Michael Jackson. His melodic feel good and bass driven instrumentals are laced with vivid and expressive narratives reflecting the various facets of a lifestyle where the journey to success is paved in both hardships and good intention.

Always remembering and representing where he came from, Amiir is ready for the marathon in front of him. His hard work and dedication to the craft led him to tour alongside acts such as Juicy J, Project Pat and Belly, as well as being showcased on many SXSW stages.
