Six People Being Charged In Connection With Murder Of 14-Year-Old Chicago Girl

Posted Friday, May 2nd 2014 @ 9am

Robert James and Vandetta Roberts (pictured above) are both charged in relation to the murder of 14-year-old Endia Martin.

14-year-old Endia Martin made headlines on Monday when she was shot and killed by another 14-year-old girl on Chicago's South Side. The girls were reportedly fighting over a boy when the shooter pulled a gun on Martin.

The young offender isn't the only one being charged though. In addition to the female shooter, five other people have been charged in relation to the crime:

- 43-year-old Floyd Evans, the owner of the gun used to kill Martin, is charged with possession of a gun without a valid Firearm Owner's ID card and failure to report to his probation officer.

- 34-year-old Robert James is accused of illegally selling the gun to Evans.

- 25-year-old Donnell Flora, the shooter's uncle, came into possession of the gun and gave it to his niece prior to the fight that ended Martin's life. Flora and the shooter have both been charged with first-degree murder.

- Police are also accusing the shooter's aunt, 32-year-old Vandetta Redwood, of knowing her niece was on her way to fight the victim armed with a gun. She's being charged with lying to the police, obstruction and mob action.

- Finally, a 17-year-old boy is charged with two felony charges and two misdemeanor charges in Juvenile Court after he tried to hide the gun from police following the shooting.

Chicago police are certainly out for justice with this case.
